The Reality of Getting App Approval From Tech Giants

The Reality of Getting App Approval From Tech Giants
Building an app like Word-Flux is an exciting journey. However, connecting to major platforms comes with a lot of paperwork and waiting. I recently went through the approval process with Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. Here is what I learned.
I am actually using Word-Flux to publish this post right now. This message, together with the messages for the other platforms, was scheduled via Word-Flux. It is a great way to see the system in action while we finish our final integrations.
The Good: Google and Meta
Google was a breath of fresh air. They reviewed our application and granted approval very quickly. It made the process feel simple and professional.
Meta was a bit more detailed. They wanted to see the app in action. I had to record several videos explaining our features and how we use their data. Once they saw the details, they gave us the thumbs up. It took some effort, but the communication was clear.
The Bad: LinkedIn Support Woes
LinkedIn has been the biggest challenge. While we can post to personal profiles, getting approved to post on LinkedIn Pages has been frustrating. The support system is very slow. I waited 10 days for a reply, and sometimes even longer.
When I finally got an answer, it felt like the support person had not even read my message. I received a canned response that did not help at all. After a month of this, I decided to close the ticket and start completely over. My hope is to get a different representative who will take the time to look at the issue.
Looking to scale your content without the manual headache? Try Word-Flux, the AI-powered platform that repurposes your ideas into full campaigns and publishes them directly to your favorite channels.
My Advice for Developers
If you are building a tool that needs approval from these giants, start early. The administrative side can take much longer than the coding itself. This delay is currently holding back some of our features, but we are pushing through.
The new request for LinkedIn Pages is open. We hope to have good news soon so we can offer full multi-channel publishing to all our users.
